Another entry-level event!  We will play in teams. Everyone can learn from each other, and no one gets left behind.

  • No hacking experienced is required.  If you can type the computer commands we show you, then you’ll do fine.  If you are a guru-ninja-hacker already, this event is not for you.
  • Windows and UNIX Sys-Admins, Network-Admins, Helpdesk Agents:  You’re going to love this.  The technical environment will already be familiar, so you will focus 100% on real-world IT security (hacker) tools and techniques.
  • ISSA, ISACA, ISC(2) Members: Participants such as security consultants, auditors, architects, and managers get a glimpse into the technical side of hacking – without getting lost in the details. (And earn 4 CPE’s.)
  • Preparation:  No need to bring anything.  Computers, cyber security software, and Internet access are provided.   Most participants are new to hacker tools, so you’ll get guidance on the spot.  But if you want to prep in advance, try out the network scanning, password cracking, and pen-test tools in Kali Linux.

Entertainment Level: Extreme. You’ll be going head-to-head with other teams attacking a realistic corporate environment. Points for time, and “flags” captured. There will be Pwners and Luzers. Good luck!

  • Teams: We’ll form teams on-site.  3 to 4 people each.  If you already have a group, we can probably accommodate.
  • Top Prize: Bragging rights in front of your friends – and on your resume.  Also some cool toys and/or entertainment prizes.

Open Events

Open Events are open to anyone who wants to improve their IT Security skills, meet others, and have fun!  We get great feedback from sys admins, network admins, web programmers, and IT-Sec consultants and practitioners - of all skill levels.

Corporate/Departmental

Corporate/Department Events are for groups who want to have a fun and challenging team-building event.  There's no better, faster, or more effective way to build IT Security skills, than to put the team into a competitive environment.  We can do this on- or off-site.  Great pricing if we combine your team event with others.

Student Events

Student Events started at Algonquin College in June 2012.  Since then, we've done similar events at McGill University for Electrical, Computer and Software engineering students, Carleton U "Learn to Win" program, and La Cité Collégiale.  If you are interested in having an event at your school then let us know.

Groups & Associations

Group and Association Events can be an exciting and engaging addition to your calendar.  A hands-on, fun-filled and challenging activity that your members will really look forward to.  They'll improve their IT Security skills, and earn CPE and other professional credits.
